Lavinia was wide awake and the sun had hardly set. It was usually quite easy to fall asleep and remain asleep curled up in the silk sheets and down comforter. It was beyond easy to curl up and at least find a comfortable position to day dream about in their bed. She’d discovered very early in their relationship that it was much easier to invade her now-husband’s mind when he was unconscious. She could infiltrate his mind and invade his dreams. It was beyond amusing. She would make him wake up hot and flustered, looking for her. But now she was too distracted to even day dream. She’d given it the one-two go, but instead had locked her ankles and stifled a cry of frustration. She had something on her mind and couldn’t fantasize correctly with it there.
She rolled onto her stomach and moved over to place her chin on her husband’s chest. She met his eyelids with her gaze, pressing the gentlest kiss to the bottom of his chin. She knocked his jaw with her nose, trying to wake him up gently. After a moment she darted out of the bed and dressed. But she did not dress persay, but put on a new lingerie set and tied a rather large red bow around her middle. Her collar and hair were adjusted, along with a smear of red lipstick on her delightful pout. She ran out of their rooms for a moment, peeking her head in on Haley’s room.
The girl’s arm had been broken in a fit of jealousy on Justinian’s part, apparently caused by a fit on jealousy on her part. She’d just managed to get permission to bring Haley back home last week. She’d missed the smaller girl so much, her chest had ached in a way almost unknown to Lavinia. She tip-toed in and gently pressed her lips to the girl’s forehead, tucking her in tightly. Haley shouldn’t be up early, not on the medication Lavinia had pumped into her veins. Lav couldn’t bear for the girl to be in any pain, especially since it was on her part.
Lavinia sighed, curling up in the smaller bed and pressing her body against Haley’s. She practiced her proposition in the other girl’s ear, pressing her hand against Haley’s pink-plaid pajama clad crotch. Of course, the movements were a little different on a woman versus a man- and of course, Haley remained asleep while Justinian wouldn’t. But it helped her gather strength.
She got up from the bed, fixing her appearance once more. ‘Vinus was still sleep in the room next door; Lavinia could hear the muffled noise he’d made in his sleep from the first moment she and Justinian had brought him home. It wouldn’t be good to check in on him and have him awake to see her in such and undressed state (though with his curious mind, it wouldn’t be the first time he’d witnessed his mother’s disinterest in clothing, in purely nonsexual ways).
Lavinia returned to the master bedroom slowly, scooping up the Abyssinian cat that rubbed against her leg. “Lucius Cesar, my sweet. You’d say yes to me.” She whispered, nuzzling the cat’s neck and rocking her gently. The cat mewled in protest as Lavinia gave her a slightly-too-tight squeeze for courage. She was placed down on an armchair in the corner and curled up with a satisfied noise. Lavinia watched her for a moment before moving to and kneeling on the bed.
Her palms hit the blankets as Lavinia crawled over to the sleeping man in her bed. Her eyes drank in his exposed chest and lingered on the sheet that just covered his favorite organ (in his defense, it was her favorite organ as well). She swallowed and then straddled her husband slowly. Her lips went to his lips and trailed down the side of his jaw and then to his neck.
“Mon amant.” My darling. “Rise and shine, darling.” Wake up, please. She nipped at his neck, her hands pushing aside the sheet and using her hands to arouse him (in more than one way). “I have a request. A proposition.” I want something. You. I need something.

Justinian had always been an excellent sleeper, ever since he was a human. He always chalked it up to overworking himself in both of his lives so far. Before, it was always something to do with the wars, the fighting, the training, or the politics. Now, it pretty much felt the same with corporate edicit thrown into the mix to make it much more irritating. At least back in Rome he could take a gladius and kill the man that betrayed him. Now he had to fight and scrap with money and words in order to get the power he knew he deserved.
There was those times of course, that sleep eluded him and the like because of his stress level and anxiety about something at work or having to do with the clan. And then of course, Lavinia was so unkind to him some nights, giving him wild dreams that make him wake up in a start. Most of the times the dreams made him need to exert a certain sort of energy once he awoke as well, worsening the exhaustion that he was already enduring. Not that he complained about that very much, he would deny his beloved wife nothing. That he knew of at least.
As usual, he hadn’t registered Lavinia’s initial rise out of bed and exiting of the room they shared. He rarely did, but today was a Saturday, so his alarm was shut off accordingly. It actually was rare for him not to take at least an hour journey or so into work on Saturday, but he was determined to be with Lavinia more after the episode with Haley and her arm. He didn’t feel bad about the actual act, but anything that bothered Lavinia had to be stopped.
It wasn’t that he disliked that Lavinia had a sheep, but Haley was… attached and impetuous. To him, she was trying to infiltrate their relationship and become more than what she actually was, despite what Lavinia and the girl herself were saying. He has never really trusted the motives of humans very much, as they were seemingly only governed by emotions, rather than the logic he tried to use at all times.
Lavinia? Lavinia? His eyes snapped open, having been nervous something bad was happening. Quite clearly nothing was, and he smiled sleepily, ”Mmm…” he trailed off slightly. Good Morning my love. A few ideas ran through his head before he asked, “What? What is it?” he rubbed his eyes, yawning slightly. This better not be insane. Nothing crazy love.

Lavinia felt Justinian’s sudden fear, his leap of testosterone. Of course he assumed she was in some sort of danger! Lavinia was always in some issue or another. Ever since she’d been turned the girl had managed to get into a pickle nearly every day of her life. Justinian had always sorted it out. Not always happily, mind you, but he always sorted out her messes. A small surge of pride rushed through her being that for once she was waking him up with something that wasn’t a cry for help. Of course, what she was waking him up with was not something she was sure he’d adore…but she couldn’t let her mind linger on that now.
Lavinia fixed herself firmly in his lap, clenching her knees around his hips as she pressed her lips repeatedly to any inch of skin exposed to her. She kissed his smile, her own lips spreading into a grin. “Good evening, mon amant.” She purred as softly as she could, her teeth nipping slightly at his ear lobe. She brushed her nose against the outside of his ear, her hands roaming across his chest and shoulders “It isn’t crazy..it’s just an…idea.”
She was suddenly nervous, afraid Justinian would be livid at her for her proposition. He was so jealous and so touchy when it came to his pride. He’d nearly killed Haley when she’d tried to mark Lavinia’s flesh like he did. He was furious when she forgoed outings with him to stay in bed with her. Part of her had the idea that he was so angry because he was so jealous. And he was so jealous because he didn’t know what was going on. She’d made the mistake of blocking him out whenever she and Haley were intimate. Her mind had reasoned that he didn’t want to know about the pleasure she received from the girl; she’d been wrong. He’d been far more furious because she was keeping her mind from him.
Lavinia was conflicted about the girl herself, anyways. She truly had affections for the girl. She was the first human whom Lavinia had judged useful and smart even. She was the first one for sure that had survived Lavinia’s bed. Every time Lav fed from Haley she felt the need to protect her and keep her in her life a little longer. She loved Justinian but there were times when she needed a woman’s touch, when the swell of Haley’s breasts and softness of her lips were the most erotic things in the world.
And she wanted those things to continue to be a part of her life. And she also wanted Justinian to trust them both.
She needed to get rid of his jealousy.
Her hand returned to beneath the sheets, a small and mischievous grin spreading across her face. “I don’t want you to be jealous of Haley anymore.” She breathed, her lips centimeters above Justinian’s. “And you’re most jealous…when you have no idea what we’re doing. What better way to…know what we’re doing….than to be….up close and personal.” She murmured, her eyes searching his for a response.
“Not just watching, either. I want you to make love to me….while I make love to Haley.”
