Jarred had never forgotten that day; even though it had happened over thirty years ago. For no reason his father was murdered; just because he was trying to protect him.... he wasn't even trying to kill the damn thing. He was simply just protecting his cub. The day was bitterly cold, but still Jarred felt unusually warm. Because of this he was wearing significantly less than his human counterparts which caused some curious stares from all over. One man even came over and offered his coat. Jarred simply laughed and stated that he didn't need the man's coat and he should just be on his way.
Continuing to walk with his severe childhood memory in mind he finally stopped as he smelled the air. This is it, he thought to himself. This is where they live. Taking a deep breath in and exhaling rather dramatically Jarred stared coolly up at the towering penthouse. Many thoughts crossed his mind; including the fact that they were all probably aware of his presence right outside of their home. He knew if they could they would all come after him right now and tear him to pieces.... but the sunlight protected him from this. But still; he could go in, change, and kill as many of those rat bastards as he could.
Jarred thought long and hard about this plan but quickly shrugged it off. No, that would be too easy for them.... and who would lead the rebel when it was time? Certainly not his own pack leader... the coward. The thoughts were both very alluring and consistent inside of his head. How he waited the day he could take his revenge. How he desired to see the dirty vamp that took his father's life. He knew that the vampire was still alive and this is where he lay his head.
Without realizing it Jarred's fist clenched and he could feel himself begin to shake rather violently. Calm down Jarred you fool!He thought furiously to himself. Turning away from the complex abruptly his breathing had began to increase as well. The feeling and urge was almost uncontrollable. Turning once more Jarred looked to ensure no one was around. " Rest assure you pieces of shit.... I will have my revenge. The day is approaching and quickly!" Suddenly the urge consumed him, and he began walking towards the doors of the complex.
Thirty feet, fifteen, ten, now five..... he quickly stopped and remembered what he had said to himself earlier. Slowly he backed away from the door. He knew when the monsters of the night woke and exited their homes that they would smell his scent and possible seek revenge. He was too close to their home.... perhaps this could spark a war and the werewolves would have to act.
Smiling now both calm in demeanor at last and anxious to visit his estrange pack he was exited about this devious plan. If they did track him, they would track him to his pack's home, and force their hand and all werewolves for that matter. Suddenly a small laugh escaped from Jarred's mouth. " Jarred you sinicale bastard."

"Uh - Bored now." Ivy said in a monotone voice as she stared up at the ceiling. It was white, too white. It agitated her that everything was so plan in her life. From the room she lived in to anything else she was allowed to have. Ivy felt as if a fire from within had been soaked with water. What was the reasoning.
Ivy's arm covered her face as she pondered in the deep sea of her thoughts and memories. Ivy had tried and tried to collect more of her past by focusing on things she could slightly remember but when she got just a little closer everything fell apart, dissolving into nothing. All she had was a past with faceless faces.
The small girl sat up. Her elbows balance her on the soft bed. Her mind far away and debating. "Screw it-" She said as she pushed herself off the bed, grabbing a coat, hat and umbrella she slowly opened the door and peaked out. Looking left then right she was surprised that their was no guard. But she had to remind herself that it was daylight hours and she too, was usually asleep.
Dashing down the hall way Ivy felt a thrill she hadn't in a long time, she was having fun. Instead of using the elevator she descended the stairs and skipped down them two at a time. Ivy had never been in this city alone and she suddenly had the want to do that. She had forgotten what it was like to want to do something. Moving extremely fast down the stairs she threw her arms into the coat and the lace hat on top of her white blonde hair. For once, it felt like freedom was in her grasp.
When was the last time she had been outside during the day? Ivy thought about this as she came to a halt in front of the exit of the stairwell that would bring her into the lobby of the penthouses. "I can't remember-" She voiced with a frown as she pushed the latch that opened the door. She knew her skin was sensitive to the suns rays but that is why she at the hat, jacket and umbrella but Ivy couldn't remember in all this time the last time she had been out in the daylight.
Trying her best to not look out of place she walked to the exit and easily opened the door. Ivy was outside. "Wow-" Ivy said in amazement for two things, one, she wasn't stopped and it was so easy to just leave and two, she couldn't believe her eyes. The world had - changed.
Fiddling with her umbrella the small girl opened the device and propped it up and against her shoulder. She may look odd but she could care less. Ivy felt as if everything was calling to her to embrace it, discover it. Her eyes widened when she wasn't sure if she wanted to start by going left or right, so she stood there, a look of excitement and shock on her face as she couldn't decided where to start. "Well-" She said, slightly laughing at herself. This is what she wanted for so long and she wasn't even able to get her body to move.

He had been standing there and watching the building for quite some time when the woman exited the building. Quickly his eyes bulged and his heart began to race. Could it be..... one of them.... but walking in the day? He thought both silently and excitedly to himself. Rapidly Jarred moved himself behind the woman where the wind was blowing her scent. It was defiantly sweet, but not of vampire bloodline. Jarred growled to himself slightly with confusion and frustration... he didn't like to feel like a dummy, and right now he couldn't help but to feel just like that.
Suddenly it dawned on him; a blood slave.... but such a fair one. Vampires normally didn't like that fairness inside of their dinners. Standing up rather tall now Jarred decided to act. If she were in fact a vampire's blood slave then her exiting the building meant that the vampire she belonged to was awake. And if she belonged to a prominent member of the clan her absence could potentially lead to insanity... or better yet; war.
Running now at full speed Jarred jumped on the woman causing both the girl, and him to fall roughly to the ground. Come here you!" Quickly he grabbed the now struggling woman's leg and pulled her in close. He had no intentions of hurting the girl, he just wanted information.... right now anyways. After what seemed to be like forever of relentless struggle Jarred managed to subdue the rather young, fair, and beautiful woman.
As strange as it seemed at that moment and time Jarred got close to the woman, almost face to face with her, and inhaled deeply. A smile escaped from him suddenly as he spoke to the girl for the first time. " You reek of death; and your skin is so pale and fair.... yet I see no bite marks. Tell me why is this?"
His voice was deep but non threatening. He really had no desire to harm the woman; especially since she was more than likely the slave of the vampires. " Tell me what I desire and I promise you no harm.... you may leave after such time. I may even permit you up now if you promise not to run, for I know you're only a slave of those cold dead things inside of that place."

Ivy had been in awe of her surrounds. When was the last time she had been outside? In the day light? She thought for a moment and honestly couldn't remember. She sighed to herself. "What is my life coming to-" She still didn't know which way she wanted to go. Was that some sort of sign? Did she not have a direction in this world?
"Come here you!"
[/b] Ivy heard the deep voice and automatically thought she had been caught and for once she fought back. She wanted to see this world. It had changed and she hadn't seen any of it. "Let me go!" She fought with all her might. But a fight seemed worthless, she had no strength compared to his. " You reek of death; and your skin is so pale and fair.... yet I see no bite marks. Tell me why is this?" Ivy's eyes grew wide. Did he just say she smelt? Smelt of death? She struggled against him again, she wasn't fond of the thought that someone thought she smelt dead. "Because!" She snapped trying to get away from his hold on her. She normally didn't fight back, ever but the guard never really talked to her like this before or put their hands on her. She was never to be touched by vampire. Why was this one so different. They just usually watched, never spoke. Ivy temper only grew and if she hadn't liked her umbrella so much she would have hit him with it. "Tell me what I desire and I promise you no harm.... you may leave after such time. I may even permit you up now if you promise not to run, for I know you're only a slave of those cold dead things inside of that place."[/b] Slave? Slave! Ivy was no such thing. A anger she hadn't experienced was igniting from within. She had seen the slaves vampire have. Lap dogs that praise and lust after their master. She tried to shove at him again, "I am no one's slave!" Ivy said through clenched teeth. Yet, she didn't know what she was, who she was or why she had been kept locked up for so long. The wind picked up around them. The scent of woods and dirt filled her nostrils, oddly it was a comfort to the small woman. Ivy looked wide eyed at the man or capture that stood before her. He wasn't vampire, obviously nor human. "Show me the city-" Ivy blurted out. If he wished for information on the vampire, she could easily give him that but she wanted something too. "Show me the city and I'll tell you whatever you wish." Ivy looked at him, her eyes bright green and hopeful. She wanted this, desperately. "Please-" [/size][/blockquote]

The woman's struggle slightly turned on Jarred; a feeling he had not felt about any woman in quite a long time. When the woman spoke; though distress showed in her voice his grip loosened just slightly. Her voice was just as fair as her skin was; and somewhat mesmerizing to the human Jarred. It was clear that she was no vampire; particularly since she was walking during the sunniest part of the day. And besides the smell of a vampire's death, there were no signs of any sort of vampire ability.
Jarred had become lost in though, barely recognizing the movement and struggle taking place underneath him but suddenly her voice drew him rapidly back to reality. " I am no one's slave!" The struggle had quit and now the woman was speaking to him more directly and as if more insulted by his slave comment than his brutal attack of her from behind. This made Jarred laugh loudly and boldly. Woman you say to me that you are no one's slave yet you reek of the vampire's death.... no scent of the city dwells upon your skin which also because of your lack of pigmentation tells me that it's been a very long time since you have ever seen any sort of life outside of those walls..... and you tell me you are no one's slave! Don't make me laugh." Quickly Jarred stood. Reaching down he grasped the woman with both hands and with ease pulled her to her feet, quickly brushing her off there after.
" I know those soulless beings that you are dwelling with.... and they are monsters. Monsters only caring of themselves and sustaining their own selves. They have no regard for you and I..... slaves are made in such ways." Jarred was now dangerously close to the stranger, his lips almost touching her fair skin. Slowly he reached over with one hand and brushed her cheek gently. As he did this it was almost like a shock wave of electricity ran through his body. Emotions Jarred had never felt before consumed his every though. He wanted to take this woman..... but that would be wrong, not to mention counter productive to his mission there in the first place. " Now tell me, if you are no slave to these beings then why are you here asking me to show you the city.... have you not seen it before? Or when was the last time you were permitted out of that place, during the day time? Or in general for that matter? How long has it been since you felt the presence of someone's warm hand on your cheek?"
His voice had dropped very low for some reason as he had spoke to her. He couldn't figure out why. Looking down rather than directly at the strange woman he saw her umbrella laying on the ground beside her. Slowly he reached over, picked it up, and handed it to her. As she took the umbrella from him their skin touched once more and again Jarred felt that almost uncontrollable urge and shock he had felt only moments ago. Silently he stared at the woman momentarily before he turned his back and began walking away from both the woman and the enemies building. When Jarred took his tenth step he turned his head slightly and spoke to the un-following woman. " Well, I thought you wanted me to show you the city..... aren't you coming?"
Realistically he had no intentions of allowing the woman to follow him, but his instincts for some reason told him to allow the woman to come with him. This placed Jarred on edge for some reason.

Ivy had the urge to look down at herself. Was she an opened book? A lot of his acquisitions were correct and that bothered Ivy. Who was he to judge her so well? Ivy bit down on her lower lip, trying to get a better understanding. Was he working with the vampire? Is that why he knew so much? Maybe he knew more about her than even she did. The thought sparked something within Ivy.
He was a very touchy person, something she was not used to. Ivy's eyes followed his hand as he lightly touched her cheek. When was the last time someone touched her? Had it been so long that it had triggered such an electric shock through her entire body. She could feel his breath across the surface of her skin and it sent chill bumps dancing up and down her arms. Ivy tried to shake the feeling off and follow along with his on slaughter of questions.
Suddenly Ivy got a visual of the woods. But not just a visual, she could hear rushing water, the thud of animals running on the forest grounds and the howl of wolves. A smile slowly formed on her face. Nature had always been a place of peace and comfort to her. A home away from home, she supposed. This man reminded her of the wild and freedom, two things that nature itself stood for.
She grasped the umbrella close to her as he handed it back to her. Ivy looked at him suspiciously. He liked to jump back and forth from gentle to intense, she wondered if he ever had a balance. "Thank you." She at least knew her manners.
" Well, I thought you wanted me to show you the city..... aren't you coming?" Ivy snapped out of her thought process and rushed to catch up with him. It had been so long since she had a thrill of excitement and due to this man she had multiple thrills in a matter of seconds. To run, was something of comfort to her suddenly, Ivy liked the feel of the wind against her clothes. Granted, it was for only a brief moment until she slowed to pace next to him but Ivy had the urge to run, run fast and far, far away.
"Slave and captive are two very different things." She admitted as she finally caught up to him. "If one doesn't have a choice but isn't used for blood, sex or service what would you call them?" It was well known among the vampire that she was not to be touched. Which meant, her blood was her own yet her decisions weren't. It often conflicted her mind what the vampire wanted to do with her. "I've seen the city before- She admitted "Just not this century." She sheepishly smirked up at him. She had lived long, long enough to know she did not age like mortals. Was she immortal? Maybe. Did she know for sure? No.
"You hate them, don't you?" Ivy asked but already knew the answer. The way he spoke about them could only be rooted from a deep hatred. "I hate them too-" She told him and finally opened her umbrella to shield her skin from the on slaughter from the suns rays. Ivy had very fair skin, she often tried to tan it on the roof tops of the penthouse but she always, always burned and gave up her attempt in looking nothing like the blood sucks she was housed with.

As the woman caught up with him Jarred quickly turned his back and walked rapidly with the stranger behind him. Although he felt a strong bond with the woman for some reason he didn't want to become attached, or have her feel as though he was anything more than an aquantince so he figured his abruptness and stone cold attitude would help ensure this, thus his un-caring attitude towards her first comment. But suddenly her words caught him again causing him to pause. " You hate them don't you..... I hate them too."
His pause was so abrupt it caused the girl to run into him from behind. Slowly Jarred turned; no smile on his face. " It's good that you hate them; but as far as I am concerned let's just leave me out of the equation for the moment." His words were gruff, sort of a low growl in human form. Again he felt some urge he had never felt before which irritated Jarred immensely. It was funny, some sentences affected him more than other. Some questions and phrases he just felt compelled to respond to for some reason..... he hated this.
Looking at the woman firmly Jarred couldn't help to feel a sense of helplessness; perhaps that's how the girl felt..... he didn't know. Slowly; and a little bit more lively he spoke yet again. " Look, you're on the outside now, there's no need to feel trapped or alone anymore. With that being said I suppose introductions are in order. I'm Jarred, but my friends call me Alaric." Slowly he reached out his hand hoping the stranger would take his hand and the bait. Though it was not Jarred's intentions to show such friendship towards the girl he really wanted to experience her touch yet again. It was quite exhilarating the first time, would it be that way again?
