Pale, porcelain like skin, she is constantly told she looks translucent. Rosy fleshed colored cheeks that detail her cheek bones. A body that curves just slightly in the right areas. Her eyes are green with a large amount of over powering yellow flakes. People always tell her she has "cat eyes."
Ivy can't remember what her Fae form appears to be like but when she was younger she wings held a multiple of shades ranging from pink to black. Most of the time it depended on the light or the attitude of the young girl. Her skin shimmered like all Fae's and had a creamer pale look to it. Her bone structure was sharp and defined. personality:
Spitfire, Ivy has always been known to be an individual who will state what is on her mind and leave you feeling bad about yourself - even if you weren't in the wrong. She has an unusual short temper for certain things. Curious, always wanting to know more or understand something Ivy likes to examine things up close. If something interests her, she engulfs herself in that subject. She holds the ability to not understand to shut up when enough is enough. Ivy has been told a time or two to bite her tongue but that has yet to happen. A sense of humor, Ivy finds humor in almost everything, a smile or slight laugh can usually be seen on her face. Her mind takes her other places and she finds amusement there. She is what most would call a "free spirit." She finds things right about wrong things and wrong things about right things. She usually works backwards, "leap first then ask questions" type. She is blunt and tends to hurt peoples feelings but that is just apart of who she is. She shows loyalty to people who prove they are worth it. She is a stubborn woman but finds that it is her best and strongest trait.
Color, Ivy loves brightness in things. Her spirit shows that - different extremes in emotions and such. Her clothes are another source she uses to express her colorful personality. Always found in a bright yellow dress or wall papered patterned shirts the girls choice in clothing is an expression of her uniqueness. To add to things Ivy hates shoes, to counter act her love of style, they are uncomfortable and tight so she usually forgets them -on purpose. Her newest interest is nail polish. Again a different way for her to express herself with color. She likes to be different, its in her nature to be the opposite of everyone else. She doesn't have the urge or want to please anyone but herself.
Another interesting trait about Ivy is that she is very protective. A spark from within ignites and she has been known to snap or harm those who threat those she actually cares for. But to flip that, she doesn't usually voice her liking towards a lot of people and it can surprise people when they realize she is being protective over them. Ivy keeps a lot of her extreme motions bottled up and times like these are when they shine.
relatives:
Oberon [Father]
Titania [Mother]
history:
From the pages of Ivy's journal
"I remember, a long time ago that I wasn't here. I was so young then. I was somewhere beautiful and well, magical. I remember the bright colors dancing before my eyes. The laugher and joy of many people. Now, those bright colors are gone, faded away into shades of grey. The dancing and laughter died away.
Dancing, how I miss it...
They say I slept for a long time. Thats why everything is so confusing. What is a long time? Days? Months? Years? Centuries? Everything has changed from before. I can't remember what happened, if something happened. I can't remember why I feel like there is something very wrong.
My body hasn't aged. That can't be right.
They keep parading me around like some "Show Case" doll. It bugs me, now more then ever.
I feel a change coming, I can taste it. As the wind dances with the limbs of the trees outside my window, its as if they are trying to signal me to join them.
These bars around me are going to be broken - soon.
I look, different.
I can hear a lullaby playing over and over in my head. I don't know the words.
His face is so welcoming in my dreams."
"All fae have the ability to manipulate glamour – the creative energy born from the hopes, dreams, and belief of mortals that the fae harness. It allows the fae to twist the world around them in any number of ways, from disguising their truer forms/intentions from the eyes of mortals to shielding a conversation from an entire room. Different fae can further manipulate glamour based on their primary art.
Based on affinities, natural skills, and passions, the fae possess a strong focus in up to two of the following areas. Younger fae may find they only possess the power to deal in one of the arts. Older fae move through two with ease. The areas are:
CHICANERY: the deceptive magical power of illusion and emotional manipulation.
LEGERDEMAIN: the ability to control ones environment through telekinetic means. Those advanced in this art can also create solid illusions.
PRIMAL: the ability to manipulate the forces of nature, from summoning the elements (typically mastering one element instead of all four) to communing with inanimate objects. It also gives the user power over the body, allowing true masters to harden their skin until its texture resembles tree bark, spur on the healing process (though not instantly by any means), or shapeshift.
SOOTHSAY: similar to the mortal ability of precognition, this allows a fae to see short distances into the future. This can be used to discern the near fate of a person, place, or thing. Newer users will only be able to see up to a few days into the subject’s future. More advanced users may see as far as a month.
WAYFARE: deals with a fae’s ability to move through space, including teleporting from one place to another (within reason), shadowwalking, and moving on incredibly fast, silent feet." source

HERE WE STARTED
Ivy is the only child of Oberon and Titania, two Fae of the High Court. History has even written of their interesting love of one another. It was said that the only thing they could agree upon was Ivy.
A child born of full Fae blood does not happen - except for Ivy. Too much power is placed into one body. Oberon and Titania never thought it was possible but had nothing more then hope for their daughter. It was said that Titania was happiest when she was pregnant with Ivy. She would be found in one of the Courts beautiful gardens talking with the unborn child, stroking her stomach and humming fae lullabies to her daughter. It would seem, at long last, Titania had found happiness.
The day Ivy was born the Court celebrated and mourned, the life of Ivy V'lane and the death of one of their Queens, Titania. Titania died of a magical overload, thus being the sacrifice for her daughter to enter this world. The price you pay for a child that should have never been. Rumor had it that Oberon and Titania both knew that this would be the outcome, neither spoke of it but both felt it. Oberon held his daughter while they both cast Titania to the other side.
Ivy was loved by all those around her. No one questioned if she was a damnation. Whether it was because they feared her or were amazed by her. No one could really tell. Oberon was viciously over protective of his daughter, most understood but others neglected to care. After his daughters birth he was rarely seen in public, along with Ivy. Some thought he was keeping her locked away for his own personal use. When he would venture out into the public eye he would usually been seen whispering with others which was totally out of character for this King since he once thrived off public affection.
Truth be told, Oberon was protecting his daughter and his people. The Fae had a prophecy about a true born Fae that would hold the Fae realm within the palm of their hand. For the longest time they always thought "true born" meant royal blood or powerful Fae, of course they didn't think in simpler terms. A true born was simply born truly full Fae. It had never happened before so no one thought it possible. Ivy was meant to be the balance of the Fae world.
Oberon understood that his daughter needed to be protected. But she also needed to learn. Not hidden, never that. He wished for Ivy to be learn through her own eyes and experiences. With the help of other members of the Fae realm who knew about the prophecy, Oberon placed his daughter in a small woodland tribe of mix cultured Fae. He, of course, stayed with her until his obligations tore him away.
Ivy only had a few years with the tribe before "The Court" finally figured things out. But those "short" years were probably her most cherished. Able to live freely as all Fae should. Here, within the tribe, she was told about the stories of her mother's beauty and her father's clever games. Climb and run freely through the woodlands with other children her age. Imagine a young Fae "doe eyed," on the edge of her seat wanting to hear and learn more, that was Ivy. The saying goes, "It takes a village." Oberon slightly got his wish, his daughter was able to live happily while with the tribe just not as long as he wished.
One summer it was declared that Ivy was to be "The daughter of the Court" not just Oberon's. "She had obligations towards all Fae" Ivy remembers a very low voice telling her father when he first presented her for all to see. Ivy was scared, she felt as if she was being ripped away from her home, cast out. From the very start of her life, Ivy understood she was different but members of the tribe didn't care, the Court members would stare and whispered about it and ask for public demonstrations. It rained a lot when Ivy was held within the Court's walls.
Fae are flashy creatures. Fighting an ageless battle with the Vampire, The Court saw Ivy as their upper hand. They wished to use her as a weapon against the vampire. A single Fae child with the ability to do more then any army. Never would have the Fae thought that it would blow up in their face.
The vampire were able to capture the Fae's "weapon." They obtained the knowledge of the girl and use that against the Fae Court. How? No one knows or is talking about it.
Ivy doesn't remember her time in the Fae realm or how the Vampire's gained position of her. For the longest time, she slept. She has been passed down from vampire clan to vampire clan. The vampire know what she is and why she must live and never remember who she is. If Ivy was able to remember who she was she would be able to release all the power of the Fae that has been sealed away within her.
your name: ivy
your age: twenty two
experience: too long
Example:
Ivy was in a rush when she left her apartment. She hadn't even told Arcadius where she was going. She simply left her small apartment room and rushed out the door. It had been bugging her for awhile now that she had been so stupid to have left it. "The one thing you cherish -" Ivy mumbled to herself as she waited on a bus to pick her up. Her hands were deep within her faded blue jean pockets. Her face was a mask, like usual but her mind was in a turmoiled battle.
Arcadius would probably have accompanied her but she had thought it was better that the Draconian stayed away from the one place that would love to get him. Arc didn't understand a lot about this world, that was already clear and Ivy had neglected to tell him a lot of things about herself. Why? Ivy didn't even know, she still felt awkward about what happened three years ago.
She had told her girlfriends, "the six," about going back and getting it but they told her it was too risky. Ivy had tried to agree with their reasoning but the young blonde no longer cared about reasoning, she just wanted it back.
The public bus stopped at the curb. She was waiting, like the rest of the varous people looking to their watches and cell phones, why was everyone always in such a hurry? Ivy entered, paid and looked down the long row. It was always uncomfortable to walk towards the back of the bus, trying to find a seat that was completely empty. Everyone always seemed to look up and glare but this was smarter. She didn't dare take her car, she didn't want to be followed back.
Ivy sat, looked out the unclean glass window for what felt like a second until she realized she was a couple stops away from "the place." Pulling the cord right above her head which signaled to the driver she wanted to let off. She slowly rose from her seat and left the dirty city bus. It was a lot darker now, she had forgotten how long it took to get out here.
Ivy hugged at her shoulders as she walked a couple of blocks, she wasn't cold, just a habit of comfort. Turning here and there Ivy was finally face to face with a metal fence. "Never have a regret-" Ivy coached herself as she placed the palm of her hand against the metal frame and waited until the material started to melt away like some sort of hot liquid. "Cool-" She said, actually surprised it had worked, she had never actually attempted this before but figured it was worth a try. "Death by liquidation-" She giggled to herself as she glanced over her shoulder one last time before she entered "the place."
